The regulator who steps on peoples’ toes
Edgar Agaba is the Executive Director of Uganda’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA). The 40-year-old lawyer has been in the job for seven years now, but recently his contract was renewed for another three years. Didas Bakunzi interviewed him on his thoughts and experiences in being the government regulator of the public procurement and disposal sector. This is a sector that takes up nearly 40% of the government budget.
